What is Azorubina?

Additivo alimentare E122 - L'azorubina è un colorante azoico sintetico che conferisce un colore rosso. Può anche essere trovato sotto il nome Carmoisine o Cardinal 3B. Essendo un colorante azoico, l'Azorubina può causare intolleranza nei soggetti sensibili ai salicilati. È un rilasciatore di istamina e può peggiorare i sintomi dell’asma. Se combinato con benzoati (E 210-215), può promuovere l'iperattività nei bambini (sindrome ADHD).
