Adipate gelten auch als Wasser-, Luft- und Bodenschadstoffe, die bei der Verbrennung von städtischem Hausmüll, Industrieabwasser usw. entstehen und den Nachteil haben, dass sie sehr schwer zu zersetzen sind.
